Welcome to the Chickamauga City School District. I am honored to serve as the Superintendent of Chickamauga City Schools. It is truly a privilege to be part of this community, and I am committed to upholding our proud traditions while building on the success of our school system as we move forward.

Our district serves approximately 1,240 students in grades K–12 across three schools: Chickamauga Elementary School (K–5), Gordon Lee Middle School (6–8), and Gordon Lee High School (9–12). All three schools are located within the same city block and share certain facilities. We are rich in tradition, with a long history of academic excellence. We promote a positive school climate and are dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment. We value our families and community and prioritize learning in everything we do. Chickamauga is truly a special place.

Our district is committed to providing a challenging and engaging educational program that meets the needs of all learners. We believe that high expectations, paired with strong support, are essential to student success. We strive to graduate students with the character, knowledge, and essential skills needed to succeed in a global economy. We offer a wide range of academic opportunities, including Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment courses, as well as six Career and Technical pathways.

Beyond the classroom, students can participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. Our athletic programs have earned numerous region and state championships, our band program has received state and national recognition, and our students are actively involved in clubs and organizations.

We are incredibly proud of our school system and continuously strive to improve and grow. Our dedicated administrators, teachers, and support staff work tirelessly to engage and challenge students in a positive and safe environment.

We believe that education is a partnership among students, parents, schools, and the community. Your involvement and support are vital to student success. We value your input and encourage open communication. Please take time to explore our website for resources, updates, and information about our academic programs, events, and extracurricular opportunities.

As Superintendent, I look forward to working with all our stakeholders to ensure our tradition of excellence continues.
